super les miz

one of america's biggest tv show would definitely include the superbowl. this football game is
watched nation wide by the whole country and is also known for its commercials. although the chicago bears failed to make it through, the wisconsin's greenbay packers did live up to their victory against the bears. but that is all irrelevant to me.
on this very day, i, unlike the majority of americans did not sit in front of the tv with a beer for i went to watch the musical- les miserables in chicago. having the fortune of sitting in the third row allowed me to view the whole orchestration, and the acting with great appreciation. as always the stage production never ceases to amaze me. the entire performance exceeded my expectations and even though i have to mention that it was not absolutely perfect, that the actors took a while to warm up, it was definitely worthwhile and i was entertained and satisfied.
the musical takes on quite a serious and powerful theme. it certainly shows dark aspects yet retains a halo of light for each one.

in the history of my school, there has not been a snow day since 1979. coincidentally enough, i happen to arrive in the right year to be able to witness the great blizzard of 2011. all day, students have been debating, anticipating, afraid to hope for a snow day. and finally it came. strong winds, fiercesome snowstorm, visibility over two blocks impossible. if i thought there was a lot of snow yesterday, i was in for a huge surprise this morning for outside my window was almost two feet of snow, almost as high as my waist. in less than 24 hours. last night, feeling like i was on the beach, i buried myself in snow. today, all i have to do is jump in, and i'll be buried. the neighborhood had transformed into a white world. people are out shoveling, unable to go to work or school. the blizzard has died down, but snow is still falling, accumulating until all the angels have shed their wings and abandoned their halos to the lightning. mourning for a life lost, but celebrating their unborn immortality at the same time.
tomorrow is going to be extremely cold. more later

if sixteen is sweet, is seventeen sour?

i am old. i am an old, miserable but totally random happy person. well, i had a nice cake, and popcorn is one of the fine things about chicago. i got a great present from the sky. it gave me the coldest day of my life- right on my birthday. so thankyou for not freezing me to death or making me slip on the completely ice covered ground.
